In this piece, bent AR-15 rifles are intertwined with symbolic flowers—forget-me-nots, calla lilies, and daisies—honoring the lives lost to mass shootings. These weapons, once symbols of power and protection, are now twisted and worn, representing the way our freedoms can be compromised by the very things meant to safeguard them.
This sculpture is a commentary on the fragility of our nation’s promise of safety and freedom, undermined by the constant cycle of violence.
